Astra Underwater Maze

In response to the escalating challenges of efficiently evaluating a burgeoning number of job applicants, Astra International collaborated with Level Up powered by Agate and devised a game-based assessment test. This innovative project introduced a game-based assessment tool aimed at scrutinizing the behavioral traits of potential employees, with a particular focus on gauging their persistence.

Objective

The primary goal was to redefine employee candidate assessment by transcending traditional text-based tests. The game sought to provide a reliable means of evaluating specific behaviors, especially persistence, through an engaging and interactive experience.

Challenge

Astra International faced the challenge of efficiently evaluating a growing pool of job applicants while ensuring the assessments were immune to manipulation. Analyzing specific behavioral traits, such as persistence, added complexity to the assessment process.

Solution

To overcome these challenges, Astra International entrusted Level Up powered by Agate, in developing the Astra Underwater Maze game. The game’s innovative solution tasked players with navigating a ship through a maze without collisions, effectively challenging their ability to navigate error-free. The game’s design cleverly translated these gameplay challenges into measurable behavioral traits, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of candidates.
