While the men’s fragrance market remains dynamic, the evolving consumer experience constantly challenges brands to innovate their approach to product launches. L’Oréal Indonesia recognized the need to cater to these evolving consumer preferences and sought a unique strategy to unveil their prestigious new YSL perfume. To achieve this, L’Oréal strategically partnered with Level Up, powered by Agate.

Objective

L’Oréal’s primary objective was to elevate brand awareness for the newly launched MYSLF perfume. They envisioned a captivating mini-game that would incentivize user engagement and encourage exploration of the fragrance. The goal was to spark interest and create a connection between the YSL MYSLF perfume and its target audience.

Solution

Level Up, powered by Agate, rose to the challenge by crafting an engaging “MYSLF Discovery Game” – a word search experience designed to weave a narrative around the MYSLF perfume. Players embarked on a journey to discover words that embodied both the essence of the fragrance (BOLD, STRONG) and the wearer’s personality (KIND, POWERFUL). This approach fostered a sense of ownership and connection between the player and the product. By referring friends, players unlocked the opportunity to win a coveted perfume sample.
